Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival. Jazz meets
the classics as the Gary Motley Quartet teams with the Vega String Quartet for a series of concerts at the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival on July 21-24. The event will also feature the premier of a new work for all eight players by Gary
Motley.
Motley and Goines at Churchill Grounds. Be sure to catch
Gary Motley with saxophonist Victor Goines at the Whisper Room at Churchill Grounds on August 4-5. Motley and Goines will be joined by bassist Tommy Sauter and drummer Che Marshall. Goines is a member of the
Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Sets begin at 9:00 PM.
Motley joins the ASO for ClarinetFest® 2006. The University of Georgia and the University
of South Carolina are proud to be official co-sponsors of the annual
convention of the International Clarinet Association. ClarinetFest® 2006 will be housed at the world class Omni Hotel in downtown Atlanta
which is connected to the CNN news world headquarters. The artist roster will feature performers from all corners of the world,
and festivities will include an evening with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The festival (August 12-14) will also feature
concerts by the Gary Motley Jazz Trio and Maia String Quartet in residence. The Gary Motley Trio will perform with Ron Odrich,
Buddy DeFranco, Andy Firth, Sergio Santos and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
ROA Jazz Vespers and CD Release. Gary Motley
and vocalist Veronica Tate will host the Fall Jazz Vespers Service at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church on Sunday, September 17th 5:30 PM. The event will also celebrate the release of the new ROA Vespers CD. The recording
features Motley and Tate along with Gordon Vernick, E.J. Hughes, Neal Starkey, Clay Hulet and special guest Victor Goines.
The event is free to the public.
ACJC Jazz Vespers. Gary motley will join Dwight Andrews and the Atlanta Community Jazz Chorus for their annual jazz vespers service on September
30th at 7:00 PM. The event will be held in the Hickman Center at Morris Brown College, located at 715 Martin Luther King Drive.

New CD Now Available. It's been three years
since the release of Keypers, the 2002 trio recording
by pianist Gary Motley. Motley's latest effort, Everything I Love features vocalist
Veronica Tate, bassist Neal Starkey and drummer Clay Hulet. The project also includes bassist Paul Keller and
drummer Pete Siers. Motley, Keller and Siers received national acclaim for their performances on Russell Malone's Black Butterfly. Now available at CD Baby.com.
